Self-Portrait 'Border[less]' May 2020

This self-portrait was made during the Covid-19 Pandemic. It is a personal self-portrait of the artist's experience over the past 2 months. 'Border[less]' is a visual narrative of the artists experience of 'becoming space' during lock-down. Where do edges begin and end? Boundaries are blurred and balance & ritual is disturbed: night becomes day, day becomes night, private becomes public, public becomes private, day becomes what day? The body becomes space and at times the image has moments of clarity.

'Border[less]' 2 May 2020

Border[less] 2 extends on the mind/body experience. Synchronicity is understood as a way to keep structure and order while at the same time it becomes a visual indicator of ones state of mind. At times the body becomes space and 'one' with the background.
